![]() * Some reforms give a bonus to support for other reforms. This seems to keep the people more riled up. There are certain social reforms (healthcare, schools) that I will always try to pass, but unless I'm trying to change my government type I never give in to political reforms until there is a sizable percentage of the population demanding it. ![]() * I usually only give people reforms they really want. Get them quickly when they become available. You want these anyway for +research speed. * I generally stay just under the infamy limit which I think also increases consciousness. * Obviously any option that gives % liberals in the upper house or builds reform support is good if you're trying to pass reforms. If you give them voting rights too early they'll elect conservatives and that means no more reforms for you. Don't push hard for Universal voting because the vast majority of poor people start conservative and stay that way until socialism becomes popular later in the game. If you look closely the Upper House and Voting reforms actually give you a lot of control over it. * In elections I always choose the options that appeal to the liberals/socialist parties even if I don't want them in power. ![]() ![]() * I always choose the options that increase consciousness and try to keep it as high as possible. I never seem to have any problems getting reforms passed in my games, but even after several hundred hours Vicky II is still pretty arcane to me so I couldn't tell you exactly why that is. ![]()
